Our approach
Accessibility is treated as part of how the platform is built, not a feature added at the end. Reading support, language support, and consistent navigation are included across the products described below, and we continue to improve coverage as the platform matures.
Reading & comprehension support
Several tools are built in to make written material easier to take in:
- Read-aloud (text-to-speech). Lessons in the Foundations and Life course tracks can be read aloud, so learners can listen rather than read, or follow along with both at once.
- Reading mode. A focused reading view reduces visual clutter on lesson content to make longer passages easier to follow.
- Clear structure. Content is organized with consistent headings, sections, and step-by-step layouts rather than dense blocks of text.
Language support
Select programs are available in English and Spanish, with the read-aloud feature available in the active language. Where a program offers bilingual content, learners can switch languages within the lesson.
Navigation & design
- Layouts are responsive and usable across phones, tablets, and desktops.
- Interactive elements are designed to show a visible focus state for keyboard navigation.
- Color and contrast choices aim to keep text legible against its background.
The standard we work toward
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as a guiding reference for the platform. This statement describes the accessibility features that are in place and our ongoing direction; it is not a claim of full or certified conformance across every page and product.
